About the Academy

Practical healthcare AI education, using cancer care as a learning model.

Oncology AI Academy welcomes clinicians, care teams, administrators, researchers, technology builders and others exploring healthcare AI. Oncology brings complex information, multidisciplinary decisions and coordination into one learning setting. The founding course, AI in Oncology Practice Foundations, uses cancer-care examples to move from understanding a claim to deciding whether a tool should proceed, wait or stop. Learners can consider how these questions apply in their own roles.

Explore openly. Learn with structure.

For your development and your team's readiness.

HealthIT.com offers a free, open resource library. Oncology AI Academy builds on that exploration with structured study, practice and assessment, using the complexity of cancer care as a learning model.

How lessons are built

Checked against primary sources

Evidence in every module is checked against primary sources. The most recent check was September 2026.

Fictional cases, no patient data

Worked cases are written for teaching. The site never asks for patient information.

Practice before progress

Each module ends with practice checks that are verified before the next module opens.

Independent review

Course changes are reviewed by a second person before they are published. No sponsored content or affiliate recommendations.

The certificate

A record of completion, with clear limits.

Learners who complete every module and pass the final assessment receive a Certificate of Completion that anyone can verify online. The public record shows completion, not a score.

What it is not

It is not CME, accreditation, licensure, authorization to practice or evidence of independent clinical competence.
